Discovering Africana: Culture, Science and Art 🌍

Students will dive into the rich and diverse continent of Africa. Each lesson explores a unique region through stories, science, art, and hands-on projects, connecting Africa's history, natural resources, and cultural heritage to broader subjects like maths, science, and the arts. From crafting Cameroonian masks to simulating West African gold trade, students will engage in interdisciplinary learning that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for global cultures.

Step into the colourful world of Pablo Picasso in this fun, hands-on unit! Explore Picasso’s life and art as we mix in some cool maths, geography, poetry, and even a bit of Spain and France. Get creative with Cubism by using shapes to make your own art, map out the places that inspired Picasso, and dive into his wild ideas. Plus, you’ll become a mini marketing expert! Learn how Picasso's art changed the world and create your own awesome logos and ads. It's all about thinking outside the box—just like Picasso!
